TUPELO – A good time Saturday night turned into jail time Sunday morning for one couple.
According to Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson, 911 received a call of a suspicious vehicle on County Road 712 around 7 a.m. Sunday. When deputies responded to the location between the Union and Richmond communities, they found a vehicle parked on the side of the road.
Inside the vehicle they reportedly found Ashley Nicole Boyett, 25, of Mooreville, and Justin Lucas, 32, of Mantachie. Johnson said the couple was “unclothed and passed out.”
“When we searched the car, we found 14.8 grams of ICE (a recrystallized form of methamphetamine that is smoked),” said Johnson.
Boyett was charged with indecent exposure, possession of methamphetamine with intent and petit larceny. Lucas was charged with indecent exposure and possession of methamphetamine with intent. Both are still being held in the Lee County Adult Jail. Her bond was set at $26,400 and his bond is $35,600.
