CORINTH – A traffic stop Wednesday on an Alcorn County road led to the arrest of two men and the seizure of about 3 pounds of marijuana.
Alcorn County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle on County Road 533 as part of an investigation into drug activity in the area. Officers detected the smell or marijuana, and a search revealed a package of high-grade marijuana with a street value of around $3,000.
Batramer Bean, 33, of 1511 East Second Street, Corinth, and Tramaine Rogers, 31, of County Road 782, Corinth, were both charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Justice Court Judge Jimmy McGee set bond at $15,000 each.
Investigators say more arrests are expected in the case.
