TUPELO – Several people have received calls from someone posing as a Tupelo Water & Light employee, asking for credit card information over the telephone.
The caller tells customers if they do not give out a credit card number, their power service will be interrupted. Authorities say the public utility is not making the calls.
Anyone who receives one of these calls is asked to report it to the Tupelo Police Department at 841-6491.
