county_clay_greenWEST POINT (AP) – Two men have been indicted by a Clay County grand jury on aggravated assault charges related to an alleged beating that left a man in a coma after he was found in a West Point parking lot in August.

Assistant District Attorney Lindsay Clemons says in a news release that no trial date has been set in the case for 21-year-old Marquavious McMillian of Aberdeen and 23-year-old Courtez McMillian of Okolona. Each is being held on $250,000 bond.

The charges stem from an incident that took place Aug. 23, 2014, at the Huddle House parking lot in West Point. Authorities say 32-year-old Ralph Weems IV, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, was beaten. Weems continues to recover at an Arkansas medical rehabilitation center.
