STARKVILLE – A routine traffic stop Thursday by the Starkville Police Department resulted in three arrested on drug charges.
Officers stopped a car driven by Akem Olajuwan Grasaree, 26, of Macon, for a vehicle tint violation. A check revealed the driver had an outstanding warrant. As Grasaree got out of the car, officers reportedly found a bag containing cocaine in the driver’s door.
A female passenger, Corliss Anita Hudson, 34, of Starkville, was reportedly in possession of a small bag of cocaine. The prescription drug Ambien and marijuana were also found inside the car.
Grasaree was charged with possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, malicious mischief as well as several traffic violations. His bond was set at $25,000. Hudson was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $10,000.
A third passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant and misdemeanor drug charges. All three are being held at the Oktibbeha County Jail.
