OXFORD – An Oxford man is behind bars, accused of choking a woman during a domestic dispute.
The Oxford Police Department arrested Colby Estes, 23, on Friday, charging him with domestic violence-aggravated assault. On Dec. 29, 2016, a female victim reported the assault to police, saying Estes strangled her and weapons were involved. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening
Estes was later stopped on a traffic violation and arrested without incident. He was given a bond of $10,000.
