An Okolona man has been arrested in connection to a string of vehicle burglaries, and two more suspects are being sought.
Deuntae Demarcus Randle, 21, of Okolona, was arrested in Lee County and charged with taking of two motor vehicles – a felony – and 28 counts of burglary of an automobile. He is currently in the Monroe County Detention Center awaiting arraignment.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is still in search of Risheco Keymon, 20, and Christopher Devontray Green, 19, both of Tupelo, in connection with the 28 counts of burglary of an automobile.
Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell said the burglary of automobile charges stem from break-ins mainly in the Hatley area earlier this year.
“We’ve been working on this for months. We’ll be calling everybody who was broken into. When we go to court, we’ll be asking for restitution,” Cantrell said.
He said the subjects are suspected in other vehicle burglary cases in Lee and Itawamba counties as well.
