OXFORD – A Lafayette County man had been charged with a felony after robbing someone who offered him a lift.
Oxford police investigators charged Anthony Wilson, 42, of Oxford, with one count of armed robbery and one count of robbery in Tuesday. The alleged armed robbery occurred Oct. 21 when Wilson asked for a ride to Anderson Road. Once in the vehicle, Anderson produced a firearm and took clothing and food from the victim. The victim was not injured at the time of the robbery.
Wilson’s bond was set at $25,000.
