TUPELO – Lee County authorities are actively searching for a missing 79-year-old Alzheimer’s patient.
John J. Roper was last seen Monday morning around 8:30 as he walked from his house on County Road 681, headed north. It is believed he stopped at a convenience store on Birmingham Ridge Road, but he has not been seen since.
Roper was last seen wearing black pants, a blue long sleeve shirt and orange-soled shoes.
