STARKVILLE – Two people are in custody, accused of the Sunday evening robbery of a convenience store on North Jackson Street.
De Lashai Clark, 18, of Austin, Texas, and Kenji Taylor, 19, of Starkville, were arrested Tuesday afternoon by the Starkville Police Department, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal Task Force.
Clark and Taylor are both charged with armed robbery and were transported to the Oktibbeha County Jail. Their initial appearances in Starkville Municipal Court are scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
Around 9 p.m. on Sunday, the Starkville Police Department responded to an armed robbery at a convenience store at 1109 Jackson St. North, near Garrard Road. One subject entered the store and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, while one subject waited outside.
