IUKA – A woman arrested for a misdemeanor now faces felony charges after bringing drugs into the Tishomingo County Jail.
Robin Defoor, 43, of 232 County Road 177, Iuka, was arrested Wednesday by the Iuka Police Department and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Once at the county jail, a correctional officer found a paper towel containing suspected methamphetamine in Defoor’s belongings.
She was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Defoor was on probation at the time of her arrest and the Mississippi Department of Corrections has placed a hold on her. Bond has not been set.
