IUKA – A 23-year-old Iuka woman was charged Tuesday with felony child abuse after a four-month investigation.
Erica Lou Ann Ivey, of 50 County Road 196, Iuka, was formally charged with child deprivation of necessities with substantial harm. Her former boyfriend, Lonnie Lee, 35, was charged with felony child abuse in early March after the couple took a 4-year-old girl to the hospital in Iuka,.
They said the girl had an accident. Medical personnel noticed severe external injuries and airlifted the child to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, where the child was treated for her injuries.
Ivey’s bond was set in justice court at $250,000, the same bond issued to Lee.
