A 54-year-old woman is charged with manslaughter in the stabbing death of her husband, Corinth Police say.
Gail Robinson allegedly stabbed her husband, Bobby Pruitt, 50, once in the chest with a kitchen knife, according to officials.
Corinth Police Detective Capt. Dell Green said police responded to a disturbance call at the Oakdale Mobile Home Park, 1008 Fulton Drive, at about 1 a.m.
Pruitt was on the floor with a stab wound to the chest when police arrived on scene. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Robinson was taken into custody and had some medical complications and was transported to the hospital. She has since been released from the hospital and is in jail on a $100,000 bond.
The incident appears to have been a domestic dispute that just escalated, Green said.
The stabbing occurred in the living room, and there was no one else inside the mobile home when the stabbing occurred. There were some people outside.
It is unclear what the dispute between Robinson and Pruitt was about.
Initially, Robinson and Pruitt were arguing outside, and a neighbor reported the arguing, Green said.
