BELMONT – An alert homeowner stopped a potential crime spree Saturday.
Both the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department and the Belmont Police Department received numerous calls of a young white male walking to different houses on County Road 864. A short time later, a homeowner detained the suspect and was told to hold him until officers arrived.
Within minutes, sheriff’s deputies and Belmont Police apprehended the individual.
Justin Howard Gober, 19, of County Road 864, Belmont, was charged with burglary of a dwelling. A felony bond of $25,000 was set Monday in justice court.
