BOONEVILLE – Prentiss County deputies arrested a man and a woman in January, shortly after they allegedly tried to rob a rural home.
Shelby Gene Box, 22, of Rienzi, and Tina Dyal, 20, of Booneville, are accused of breaking into a home on County Road 8200, according to Prentiss County Sheriff Randy Tolar. The couple started piling items in the living room, not realizing a teenager was home alone. The teen hid in a bedroom and called 911.
When the parents arrived home, Box and Dye fled. Deputies stopped their car just down the road.
They were charged with burglary of an inhabited dwelling. Bonds were set at $15,000 apiece.
